Job Summary
Holy Spirit Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled educator to serve as a 6th Grade Homeroom Teacher with primary responsibility for Middle School Math and Science instruction. The teacher will foster academic excellence, critical thinking, and a love of learning while supporting the spiritual, social, and emotional development of students within a Catholic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the homeroom teacher for a 6th grade class, building a positive, structured, and supportive classroom community.
• Provide engaging, standards-based instruction in Math and Science.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote problem-solving, inquiry, and hands-on learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students.
• Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents and administration.
• Integrate technology and real-world applications into instruction.
• Collaborate with middle school team members and staff to ensure curriculum alignment and student success.
• Maintain classroom discipline consistent with school policies and expectations.
• Support and participate in school Masses, prayer, and Catholic identity initiatives.
• Foster responsibility, organization, and independence in middle school students.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification (middle school or subject-area certification preferred).
• Strong background in Math and/or Science instruction.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
