Your opportunity:
The Office of the Registrar and Academic Services provides timely, high-quality, accurate and efficient information and service to all Rotman professional program students, faculty, Academic Program Directors, Managing Directors and the Dean’s Office. Responsible for the management of all processes to move students through their academic program, the Office espouses the values of the Rotman culture, provides an inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and visitors and ensures access to resources and support for timely graduation. As the steward ofimportant and highly-confidential information, the Office of the Registrar practices a high level of ethical behaviour and ensures the protection, privacy and security of student records
As an Academic Services Representative in the Office of the Registrar and Academic Services, you will work with this dynamic team providing exemplary front-line reception and general office assistance to over 1400 students and 100 faculty and staff in all Rotman Masters and Diploma Programs. The Academic Services Representative will assist with ad hoc projects to support the Registrar's Office.
Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday – 10:15am-6:30pm
Friday – 8:45am-5:00pm
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing detailed information to students on program and/or course requirements
- Scheduling appointments for prospective students, applicants, and current students to address individual needs
- Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Handling sensitive and/or confidential information
- Updating and maintaining records
- Handling fees or fines and issuing receipts on a limited basis
Essential Qualifications:
- Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years student/academic services or registrarial experience required.
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated experience working with Word, Excel and databases.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
Assets (Nonessential):
- Demonstrated experience working with ROSI
- Knowledge of Rotman, School of Graduate Studies and U of T academic policies and procedures
- Experience using Excel to manage datasets and support data-related tasks
