Accountant / Buchhalter:in (m/w/d)

We're looking for a structured, reliable Accountant (all genders welcome) to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting. This is a hands-on role covering ongoing bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, and the preparation of VAT returns. You'll report directly to our Director of Accounting & Finance, who owns overall responsibility for accounting, our ERP system (SAP), and financial close. This position is a great fit if you enjoy precise, detail-driven work, like running tasks independently, and want to support a growing, international SaaS business. What you'll do • Independently manage ongoing bookkeeping under German GAAP (HGB) for German and international entities • Handle accounts receivable and payable: invoicing, payments, and collections • Support monthly close, including accruals, deferrals, and account reconciliations • Prepare and file VAT returns and other tax filings (e.g. EC Sales Lists, OSS) • Support year-end close, tax audits, and collaboration with auditors and tax advisors • Help optimise and digitise processes within the SAP ERP system • Coordinate with other teams (e.g. Procurement, Legal, Controlling)
