Accounting Manager

About the Role The Accounting Manager will directly supervise these remote team members and should be comfortable with occasional business travel when needed. This is a remote role, initially offered under a contractor agreement.   Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and all relevant regulatory requirements. • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports for internal leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders. • Support the VP Finance on statutory filings and maintain strong communication with regulatory authorities and external auditors.

Financial Operations & Planning • Manage end-to-end financial operations, including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. • Implement, maintain, and enhance internal financial controls and procedures. • Be responsible for preparations for annual audits

Taxation • Prepare and file accurate tax returns in compliance with Dutch tax laws. • Partner with tax advisors to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities. • Systems, Data & Process Optimization • Serve as the functional lead for our migration from Exact Online to a new, scalable ERP system. • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across multiple systems and platforms. • Partner with our IT team to implement "Automation First" workflows, reducing manual entry through API integrations for bank feeds, expenses, and AP/AR.

Business Partnering • Provide financial insights, scenario analyses, and data-driven recommendations to VPs and managers. • Act as a trusted advisor during our scale-up phase, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.
