Alliance Financial Services Limited a member of the Sagicor Group is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Alliance Accounts team in the capacity of:
Accounting Officer
Provide financial reporting and accounting support to the Manager, Corporate Office to ensure timely and accurate preparation, analysis and reporting of financial and accounting information, and management of the Company's General Ledger.

Location: Kingston
As an Accounting Officer, you will:
- Assist with the Financial Statement Preparation for Alliance Financial Services Limited.
- Prepare daily bank reconciliations and ensure that all items are cleared.
- Assist with updating the supporting schedules required for financial statement preparation.
- Assist with the preparation of Income and Deferred Tax Computations.
- Assist with the preparation of Regulatory Filings.
- Assist with compiling budgeting information from various sources.
- Assist with preparation of the presentation for budget reports including balance sheets, income statements, schedules for capital expenditure, schedules for operating expenses etc.
- Assist management with the preparation of various cost/benefit analyses for projects and initiatives.
- Assist with administration and maintenance of the budgetary systems.
- Assist with generating the quarterly disclosure notes.
- Assist with obtaining explanations for significant and unusual variances.
- Assist with coordinating the annual audit for AFSL.
- Assist with preparing quality schedules and making them readily available upon request.
- Assist with the preparation of the financial statement workbook to support the draft financials.
- Assist with preparation of the draft financial statements.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, ACCA or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar position.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS), and general accounting practices and techniques.
- Working knowledge of the Companies Act and regulatory requirement.
- Familiarity with computerized accounting systems.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
- High level of motivation and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.
