TDB Volunteer Program Vacancy

 

The TDB Volunteer Program is an initiative of TDB Group whose aim is to promote volunteerism as a mean for expanding and diversifying the talent pool available for the advancement of sustainable development in TDB Group's Member States. The TDB Volunteer Program seeks to attract qualified and highly motivated volunteers, with outstanding technical, professional and leadership qualities, to support the work of TDB Group through its various constituent business units and affiliated institutions.

 

TDB Volunteers receive an allowance and medical coverage. Interested and qualified candidates are, therefore, invited to apply for the subject position under the TDB Group Volunteer Program.

 

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, TDB Asset Management (TAM), the incumbent will provide operational, project coordination and administrative support to facilitate the effective functioning of the Asset Management business across three regional offices.

Duties and Responsibilities

The key roles and responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant, Asset Management include but are not limited to:

  • Support the day-to-day operational workflow of the department, including assisting with the coordination of processes, controls and activities to facilitate effective and efficient delivery.
  • Support regular updates to pipeline reporting and business plans to assist with the execution of TAM strategy.
  • Support the coordination of schedules and priorities to facilitate the timely delivery of key activities.
  • Support communication across Asset Management teams and stakeholders by helping to consolidate information and prepare relevant briefings or narratives.
  • Provide project coordination support by tracking timelines, goals and follow-up actions to facilitate operational efficiency.
  • Support communication on behalf of the Executive with departmental staff and external stakeholders on matters related to TAM and departmental initiatives.
  • Support day-to-day workflow coordination, including tracking assignments and preparing briefing materials.
  • Assist in preparing timely and accurate timely reports, including expense reports, to support tracking of departmental budget utilisation.
  • Draft correspondences, schedule appointments, organize internal and external meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on assigned action items.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate documentation and filling system (physical & electronic) to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
  • Compile departmental input for annual reports, board papers and other documents, as applicable, for review and submission to management.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management or equivalent from a recognized institution. Possession of a Master's degree in a relevant field as added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 - 8 years of relevant professional experience in a regional/international corporate, banking or DFI environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and client relationships skills with proven track record and ability to focus on clients' needs.
  • Experience with measuring and optimizing impact.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, coupled with ability to adapt and be flexible to find solutions.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation, organizational and planning skills with the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, manage dynamic priorities, and work under pressure to deliver on strict deadlines.
  • A results-oriented individual with excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs including MS Office applications.
  • English language proficiency is required. Knowledge of another official language of TDB Group's member states (French or Portuguese) would be an added advantage.

Duty Station

The duty station is Ebene, Mauritius.

Contract Terms

The position will be hired on short-term contract for one year, with renewal subject to budget availability and performance. Benefits include competitive salary and medical insurance.
