Job Summary

 

The Advisor, Supply Chain Systems plays a critical role in advancing Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems, processes, and controls. This role leads cross‑functional initiatives that strengthen the Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) ecosystem, enhance compliance, and support scalable, technology‑driven activities. The Advisor evaluates tools, drives system improvements, and ensures business needs are accurately reflected in system and process design. Partnering closely with IT, Finance, AP, Tax, Legal, Audit, and other business units, the role promotes standardized, efficient, and compliant ways of working across the organization.

 

The Advisor, Supply Chain Systems, will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work up to two (2) days a week remotely, as business needs allow.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for development and implementation of a 3-year Supply Chain Technology Landscape in collaboration with Supply Chain Leadership
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives involving SCM system evaluation, testing, troubleshooting, enhancements, and continuous process improvement
  • Develop project plans, process maps, and support documentation to drive structured execution
  • Ensure system workflows enable data integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency
  • Facilitate alignment across teams and communicate progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders
  • Maintain standardized S2P processes, documentation, and governance to support consistency and scalability
  • Ensure SCM activities adhere to internal policies, SOX controls, and external requirements
  • Identify risks and process gaps; recommend and support corrective actions
  • Partners with IT, Finance, AP, Tax, Legal, Audit, and other business units to ensure system and process needs are understood and incorporated
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve value, and leverage enterprise synergies
  • Promote adoption of consistent processes, compliant behaviors, and system best practices
  • Provide training, guidance, and subject matter expertise to SCM and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate with system vendors and implementation partners to deliver enhancements and resolve issues
  • Support vendor onboarding and enablement activities as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 20 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting or implementing SCM systems (SAP S4 HANA, Ariba, Icertis, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional projects or programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and process-mapping/project management tools

 

The individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions.  Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs.  The successful candidate must be able to complete all essential physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills
  • Deep understanding of automated solutions and digitalization projects
  • Background in system testing, UAT coordination, or requirements gathering
  • Experience in creating compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to drive behavioral change, process adoption, and organizational alignment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
