  • $102,747 (pro-rata) per annum + 12% superannuation
  • Multiple part time opportunities - Ongoing and fixed term
  • Wadawurrung/Geelong based (Hybrid working – 3 days a week in office)

 

About the role

 

The Advisory and Licensing Division is the frontline contact point for WorkSafe Victoria. The team provides expert consultative advice and guidance to the Victorian Community on a wide range of WorkCover, Premium, Licencing and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) matters. Support is delivered across multiple channels including phone, email and digital platforms.

 

The service operates flexible hours to meet community needs, with phone support available from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. These are part-time roles require availability for five hours per day across weekdays.

 

The role suits individuals who enjoy working in a fast‑paced, phone‑based contact centre environment and are motivated to deliver high-quality, accessible service to a diverse community.

 

Key accountabilities

 

  • Provide clear, accurate advice to stakeholders on procedures, processes, policies and legislation
  • Communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, including members of the public
  • Manage enquiries and concerns through to resolution, ensuring stakeholders understand outcomes and processes
  • Resolve issues within delegation and escalate and escalate matters where required
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support stakeholders by providing guidance relevant to their needs and circustances
  • Use systems and call data to identify trends and inform service improvements
  • Apply research and analytical skills to support effective issue resolution

Your interpersonal and formal communication skills are advanced. You are a perceptive person who enjoys working within a busy team environment.

 

The following skills and experience will support success in the role:

  • Demonstrated front line customer service experience in an environment focused on the needs of clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement and decision-making ability
  • Ability to manage and priorities a range of tasks and activities
  • Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly and concisely in writing and verbally
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and within tight timeframes with minimal supervision
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines in a structured environment
  • Confident using digital systems and technology in day-to-day work
  • Knowledge of Accident Compensation Act, Workplace Injury Insurance system, Claims Management model or Occupational Health & Safety Act is desirable, but not essential.
