Job Summary
Advisory Sales Specialist is Technology Specialist role is responsible in providing full pre-sales assistance to sales team and customers, including opportunity requirement analysis, solution design, overall solution costing, presentations and demos, technical and commercial proposal preparation and objection handling.
The specialist role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and customer and supplier teams.
Relationship building with customers and vendors is a key area of this role
Job Description
Works on business development for Platforms, systems and Software defined Data center(SDDC) solutions , prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit
• Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and re commends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm
• Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support
• Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements
• Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported
• Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
• Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities
within customer firms. Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced
• Achieves assigned revenue and profitability quotas
• Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
• Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame
• Works closely and collaboratively with the sales and account teams supported and customers
• Improve negotiations and contract closing by providing support to the Sales Team
• Assist sales team members with sales efforts including the development of client proposals and pitch mechanics. Delivering sales presentations to clients, including designing and developing presentations and responding to RFPs.
• Own the development of custom presentations, demonstrations, and prototypes to articulate use-cases and value to prospective enterprise customers across verticals.
• Create quotes and sales proposals on behalf of the sales team.
• Respond to technical and/or functionality questionnaires
• Accompany Account Manager OR Sales Consultant during the entire sales process, from RFI/RFP to contract negotiation and closing
Detect functional gaps during scoping calls, analyze them and work with the technical/vendor Team to find a viable solution
• Provide scoping support to sales representatives, and substantiate the solutions offered to prospects, from both a business and technical point of view
• Assist in other tasks to help close deals, such as price tailoring, contract and SOW drafting, security Q&A, and customizing demo environments
• Interact with every area of GBM: Finance, Legal and Administration Team, Project Delivery Team, Sales Team.
• Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans
• Work in close collaboration with GBM’s architects & delivery teams to ensure that proposed offerings and services fully meet customers ’business and technology needs
• Develop or manage the technical and commercial proposals for all opportunities
• Define the winning strategy for each opportunity overall solution costing, prepare cost sheet, get approval on project costing system, prepare the cost allocation, order and delivery tracking
Skill
Bachelor’s degree in IT from an accredited institution
• 10+ years of sales engineering experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment
• A record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales role
• Product certification, engineering credential, or equivalent technical credential in
• VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Data Center Virtualization
• VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility
• VMware Specialist – vSAN
