Android Software Engineer | Dive Team

The Garmin Dive app is essentially the ultimate diving companion application featuring a digital logbook and community platform designed for scuba divers and free divers and it’s built to pair seamlessly with Garmin’s Descent series and other compatible watches. We believe that collaboration leads to the best ideas, and we rely heavily on team interaction. As a role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require 5 days in the office each week. 

Responsibilities: • Create and execute designs for software components within a larger project. • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced Software Engineers. • Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions. • Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes. • Perform technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems.
