Area Manager in Rome - 12 Months Assignment

 

Are you ready to elevate your career in sales management? Kellanova (formerly Kelloggs) are looking for a Sales Area Manager for Central Italy on a 12 month fixed term contract, where you will drive in-store excellence and accelerate sales growth across multiple channels.

 

In this role, you will report to the Field Sales Force and Operational Lead, managing and inspiring a team of Field Sales Representatives to deliver outstanding in-store execution and achieve ambitious sell-out and KPI targets. You’ll play a key role in coaching, training, and developing future talent—building a high-performing team that reflects Kellanova’s values and ambition.

 

Enjoy true mobility and flexibility! You can be based in Rome, with the expectation to be in the field three days per week and attend office meetings when needed.

 

A Taste of What You’ll be Doing

 

  • Team Leadership and Training - Lead, coach, and develop a Field Sales Representative team to consistently achieve sell-out and KPI targets through strong in-store execution and regular shadowing sessions.
  • Customer and Store Interaction - Build strong relationships with customers and points of sale, organise store visits, and actively support key sales initiatives in the field.
  • Cross-functional Coordination - Work closely with Sales, Commercial Board, Activation, Finance, Category, Supply Chain, and HR to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution - Define and implement annual in-store sales strategies, manage POP materials, and ensure your team is equipped with effective tools and resources.
  • Performance Analysis - Analyse sell-out KPIs, monitor competitor activity, and translate insights into actions that drive continuous improvement and growth

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Proven experience in FMCG sales within the retail channel in the assigned area, with flexibility to travel regularly.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills, with a collaborative and trust-driven approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Communications, Sales Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a structured mindset and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • A passion for developing people, with the ability to coach, guide, and grow team members to reach their full potential.
