MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure that all equipment, plant, building, and services always remain functional to their original state in the safest and most cost-effective way

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

1. Perform HVAC repair, maintanance and installation
2. Perform administration duties within the technical function
3. Identify and mitigate technical risks within the locality
4. Coordinate work performed by on-site contractors within the locality
5. Maintain client and stakeholder relations within the technical function

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Appropriate trade test-certified N4 Mechanical / Millwright

DESIRED EDUCATION: N/A

ESSENTIAL CERTIFICATION: Trade test certificate and practical experience in HVAC

DESIRED CERTIFICATION: N/A

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: More than 5 years of artisan (Fitter, turner, millwright, air-conditioning artisan) experience and multi-skilled

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: More than 3 years' Mediclinic experience

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Trade-specific skills and knowledge – proficiency relative to the role
• Trade-specific policies, procedures, guidelines, and relevant legislature
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Planned maintenance according to set Mediclinic standards
• Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (e.g. OHS and ISO)
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Multi-Skilled (Hospital environment)
• Mentoring of technical team members
