We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager - Processing - Middle Office Scotland - MNL.

Fund Services Middle Office is designated to facilitate the provision of services to the client in a consistent manner irrespective of the clients underlying. Our strategy is to support the integration of our clients' chosen Front Office software by enabling the efficient transfer of data between the client and HSBC and ensuring an operationally seamless end to end model.
The Opportunity:
The role is responsible for the delivery of Investment Operations services (Trade/ Reconciliation/ Corporate Action) to assigned clients within agreed quality, timing and output targets.
In this role, you will:
Impact on the Business
- To support rollout of new products/ activities within Investment Operations & ensure its successful implementation.
- Active participation and support of migration / re-migration of funds & adherence to all project/migration timelines.
- Review the Postings/Reconciliation Packs/ Trades Upload.
- Review the deliverables of upstream shells with regard to accuracy of breaks reported.
- Perform maker and checker activities as and when required.
- Raising the exceptions with appropriate teams
Customers / Stakeholders
- To develop and maintain mutually respectful & successful relationships with internal customers & business partners.
- Participate in monthly BAU/Governance calls with various stake holders & maintain timely communication.
- Participation and support provided to initiatives taken by other teams.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Perform maker and checker activities as and when required.
- Raising the exceptions with appropriate teams
- To develop and maintain mutually respectful & successful relationships with internal customers & business partners.
- Participate in monthly BAU/Governance calls with various stake holders & maintain timely communication.
- Participation and support provided to initiatives taken by other teams.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Updating all MIS/trackers as required by the process.
- Enhancements to Job-Aid Matrix, SOP, process notes, checklists, KPI and internal processes as and when required.
- Ensure timely follow up on the open & outstanding issues that hinder the valuation. Ensure, Escalation Matrix is followed as per agreed for both BP & Markets & Securities Services, Manila city office.
- Nil breaches in all group and risk policy. Audit, BRCM and Compliance reviews rated as 'satisfactory'.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree related to financial services.
- 3-5 years of relevant Funds administration experience.
- Complete understanding of Trade Life Cycle
- Excellent knowledge of Capital Markets and Financial instruments, accounting principles and fundamentals of Accounting
- Excellent knowledge in Investment Operations process with clear understanding of the E2E Fund Accounting Model.
- Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in EXCEL essential.
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to re-prioritize workloads due to changing circumstances; meet strict deadlines.
- Will be expected to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Must be aware of the operational risk scenarios associated with this role and act upon pertinent risk (if any).
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Basic knowledge in custody, brokerage, depository, investment accounting, mutual funds and Investment Operations.
- Knowledge of Derivatives Instruments
- Additional qualifications related to financial industry including IOC will be given preference
- Individuals having worked in different departments/ functions will be given preference.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
