How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Lead the end-to-end establishment and integration of local and group reporting activities within GBS Finance Zagreb across multiple Teva entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate period-end close processes, as well as local and group financial reporting, in compliance with local accounting standards, US GAAP, and internal accounting policies.
- Oversee detailed analysis of financial statements, account reconciliations, and the presentation of key insights to local management.
- Ensure adherence to evolving local and group accounting, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on complex accounting matters in close collaboration with local teams and GBS Finance accounting teams.
- Drive process standardization, knowledge sharing and extension, end-to-end ownership, and continuous optimization across the assigned area of responsibility.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local, regional, and global accounting teams, as well as other key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control requirements while continuously strengthening the control framework and promoting compliance awareness.
- Coordinate internal and external SOX and audit requirements across multiple entities.
- Lead global projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned scope of responsibility.
- Identify opportunities for technology enhancement, including advanced systems and tools, and lead or support their implementation.
- Support team development through coaching, motivation, and cross-functional collaboration across GBS Finance and Teva Finance globally, contributing to broader organizational objectives.
- Promote a positive team culture and supportive work environment by encouraging open communication, idea sharing, and collaboration.
- Perform other duties aligned with organizational goals and business needs.
Your Skills and Experience
Your Experience and Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Experience working in a multinational environment.
- Proven ability to lead large teams, drive cross-functional global initiatives, and communicate effectively across functions.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for success in this role.
