THE ROLEMatific is seeking an Associate Lead Data Engineer to own the data function. This will include developing and maintaining the data infrastructure as well as leading the BI and data engineering function. This is largely a hands-on position and includes leading a small team. Matific is looking for someone who is incredibly smart, passionate, talented and simply gets stuff done. Given the scale-up nature of the company, you will need to be flexible and inventive in the delivery of your strategy. This role will be based  in Sri Lanka. Our data infrastructure is fully AWS cloud-based.

RESPONSIBILITIES• Own the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of data solutions. • Together with the team, build and maintain the company’s ETL and data flows. • Assist the product,web and app development teams with any data-related tasks and queries. • Build and maintain both our applicative databases, our data warehouse and data-related AWS services.  • Mentor, guide and nurture junior members of the team. • Participate in organisation level initiatives and add value in this leadership role.
