What to expect

As an Associate Project Manager, you will join our Transformation team and play a key role in delivering business change across the Post Office. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career Project Manager with experience in retail operations, retail transformation or a fast-paced operational environment who is looking to further develop their project management career.

 

You will support the planning, coordination and delivery of transformation projects and workstreams, working closely with Project Managers, Programme Managers and a wide range of stakeholders across the business. You'll help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to our strategic objectives, while driving excellent stakeholder engagement and project governance. 

 

This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale business change initiatives while also taking ownership of smaller projects and workstreams, allowing you to build your project management expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll bring experience in project delivery, operational improvement or business change within a retail or customer-focused environment, along with a passion for driving positive outcomes. 

 

In addition to this, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience supporting projects, change initiatives or operational improvements within a retail, multi-site or customer-focused environment.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to work across different teams and levels.
  • Experience identifying and managing project risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
  • A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and business change.
  • An understanding of project management methodologies; Prince2 qualification or training would be advantageous.
