Job Summary

This position reports to the BSAPIC General Manager, Compliance & ERM where the incumbent will play an important role in the development and continuous improvement of Bridgestone’s global Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and will be pivotal to its implementation in the Bridgestone Asia Pacific, India and China (BSAPIC) region.

 

Responsibilities

  • BSAPIC ERM: Deployment and management of the global ERM program in BSAPIC, including:

    • Formulating and implementing risk management policies and guidelines across BSAPIC
    • Leading risk identification activities across BSAPIC. Supporting risk owners in risk mitigation plans development and in risk monitoring and reporting
    • Developing and delivering risk reports and dashboards to BSAPIC Management and stakeholders
    • Planning and conducting training. Fostering risk-aware culture
  • BSAPIC BCM: Deployment and management of BCM program in BSAPIC, including:

    • Developing, updating and maintaining BSAPIC BCM policies and procedures
    • Driving and supporting BSAPIC business functions and units in development and implementation of business continuity plans
    • Design, plan and execute BCM exercises
  • BSAPIC Crisis Management:  Manage crisis incidents and raise Crisis Management readiness in Regional Head Offices and Group Companies:

    • Actively monitoring and reporting risk/ crisis events.
    • Assisting BSAPIC business in reporting and responding to crisis situations
  • Manage any other duties as assigned by the BSAPIC General Manager, Compliance & ERM.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of applicable experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred training in accounting, business, legal or related discipline. Risk management certifications, e.g. RIMS, CRMA will be a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Led key risk management workstreams at prior organizations.
  • Engaged with senior leaders on a regular basis.
  • Experience in risk management related activities in complex multinational organizations or consulting firms.
  • Resilient, agile, and always independent and objective.
  • A strong communicator with an ability to translate technical and detailed information into a clear and easy-to-understand message and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive and organized and able to work in a fast-paced team environment providing consistent, high-quality output.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Team player
  • Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or technology/mobility organizations would be favorably viewed.
