The Bank & Cash Allocation Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, allocation and reconciliation of customer payments across multiple banking platforms. This role plays a key part in supporting the Accounts Receivable function by ensuring customer payments are correctly allocated, bank reconciliations are completed accurately, and account discrepancies are resolved efficiently. Working within a fast-paced commercial environment, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with Credit Control, Customer Service, Sales and Finance teams to support cash collection performance and maintain high standards of financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities • Accurately allocate customer payments, credit notes and receipts against customer accounts. • Process payments received through bank transfers, direct debits, card payments and other payment channels. • Complete daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, unallocated cash and unidentified receipts. • Maintain accurate customer account balances and financial records within the ERP system. • Support the Credit Control team by providing timely payment allocation information and assisting with account reconciliations. • Respond to customer payment queries and liaise with internal departments to resolve account issues. • Prepare daily cash reports and support month-end and year-end finance activities. • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls and audit requirements. • Contribute to process improvement, automation and finance transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
