Why Smart?

Look forward to working with Australia’s leading and most trusted provider of Employee Management Services, making the benefits of salary packaging, novated leasing, and fleet management readily available to employers and their employees.

Working at Smartgroup offers more than a job. It is a dynamic workplace that matches the enthusiasm for the work you do and ambition for an exciting fast-paced career. We have all been hired for a purpose and a reason.

Every day you will be part of a team that helps support fellow Australians - many working in essential services, corporates, government, and not-for-profits - to take home more money in their pay packets.

Do you have what it takes to become a Smart Bid Manager?

We are looking for a Bid Manager to join our B2B sales team in a permanent position.

You will collaborate closely with our business leaders and the client solutions and customer success teams across all segments, winning new and retaining existing business through the development and submission of high-quality bids and proposals.

To meet our strict deadlines at the highest level, you will bring your outstanding time and stakeholder management skills, nurturing the business towards better ways of working and a brighter future.

You will get hands-on and involved in:

  • Preparing responses to both publicly tendered opportunities, as well as proactive and/or invitation-only opportunities.
  • Managing, supporting and engaging the Bid Coordinator and working as a team in ensuring success.
  • Working effectively across Smartgroup to ensure tender and bid submissions include the organisation's point of difference in relation to our competitors, and our customer value proposition.
  • Providing Smartgroup with expertise in bid-related project planning and execution, content editing and proofreading, document formatting and production.
  • Establishing a continuous improvement approach to reviewing each submission and adopting key learnings for future bids and proposals.

Who are you?

  • Someone who is thrilled by a challenge, with energy and great attitude, wants to learn and earn, cares about people they work with and the service they provide, sees the big picture and wants to be a part of it.
  • Experience working on and facilitating successful bid management in a B2B sales environment, preferably within financial services or mid-tier organisation.
  • Exposure to government, not-for-profit and corporate client requirements and procurement methods (highly desirable)
  • Passion for leading people to success and ability to work empathetically and collaboratively across teams
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results working autonomously, as well as in cross-functional teams, and across multiple levels of the business.
  • High attention to detail and advanced grammar, communication, and presentation skills.

What’s in it for you?

Smart team members enjoy a range of benefits designed to support flexibility, wellbeing, reward, and growth:

  • Smart Leave, an additional week of leave each year
  • Free lunch every week
  • Up to 20 weeks Paid Parental Leave with superannuation contributions and a Return-to-Work Bonus
  • Make a Difference Days – paid days off to volunteer for the community and environment
  • Discounted retail vouchers
  • Salary packaging and novated leasing benefits (of course!)
  • Free flu vaccinations
  • Employee Share Plan
