Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all marketing communications activity for the Gas Networks Ireland Brand - develop and implement marketing plans to deliver agreed objectives, manage all marketing, advertising, promotional activity including events in collaboration with the relevant teams for that area.
  • Define and implement targets and KPIs to track and measure success for all brand marketing and advertising activities.
  • Provide marketing expertise, advice and support to the business as required.
  • Oversee the appointment and management of key external agencies, including creative, media, design, and research agencies.
  • Generate new ideas and formulate differentiated market propositions tailored to different customer segments and channels.
  • Conduct and evaluate market research to deliver insights and direction for marketing and advertising plans.
  • Work closely with the Digital Manager to maximise digital and social media opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing communications team to ensure an integrated approach to the management of the Gas Networks Ireland brand and corporate identity.
  • Develop marketing communications collateral as required including brochures, merchandise, and exhibition stands etc.
  • Manage marketing budgets and other campaign budgets in conjunction with business units.
  • Other duties may also be assigned from time and time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Marketing or relevant third level degree with 5-7 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others
  • Experience with identifying improvement opportunities, generating ideas and implementing solutions
  • Have excellent analytical skills and be able to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements and propose and implement solutions.
  • Experience managing ATL brand marketing campaigns, creative and media buying
  • Ability to set up ongoing procedures to collect and review information as needed
  • Proactively identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge and skills on the job
  • Ability to set own high standards of performance and delivering desired results
