Role Description
Business Controller plays an essential role in supporting business decision-making. This role partners closely with the Service Operations team across 11 locations in Taiwan (covering service maintenance and parts sales), providing financial oversight and guidance from a finance perspective. Through accounts receivable management and in-depth financial analysis and performance monitoring, the position delivers actionable insights that support operational decisions and help maintain a healthy and sustainable financial position.
As a trusted partner, this role is expected to influence business decision-making through fact-based analysis and professional judgment. The successful candidate will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at different levels, constructively challenging proposals when financial risks are identified, and driving discussions toward sound business and financial outcomes while maintaining effective working relationships.
Job Responsibilities
Operational & Financial Analysis
- Prepare and analyze operational and financial performance reports, including KPIs and variance analysis
- Monitor revenue, costs, gross margin, and expenses, providing insights to support management decisions
- Support monthly business reviews, management reporting, budgeting and performance discussions
Accounts Receivable & Credit Management
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and assess credit risk exposure
- Support the management of customer credit terms and credit policies
- Improve cash flow and collection performance
Projects & Operational Improvement
- Participate in operational analysis, cost control, and process optimization initiatives
- Support project-related financial analysis, performance tracking, and results reporting
- Work cross-functionally to help implement improvement initiatives
Other Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and tasks assigned by management
Qualifications
Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in operations analysis, financial analysis, management accounting, or credit management
Personal Attributes:
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly accurate with strong numerical sensitivity
- Outgoing with strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Willing to take on challenges, adapt to change, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Power BI or other analytical tools
- Background in credit management or risk analysis
- Experience in process improvement or cross-functional projects
Professional skills
- Solid understanding of financial statements and management accounting principles
- Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP or BI systems (SAP preferred) is a plus
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required, Taiwanese is a plus
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level 6
