Summary

Celestica, the Global Manufacturer of Electronic Devices, is seeking a Student to develop their Internship program with us, to support the implementation of a brilliant, world-class manufacturing environment for current and future projects spanning advanced concept and production development.
You will become part of a world class team that is a recognized as an Aerospace & Defense Center of  Excellence  for  Celestica’s  Europe region  that also provides New  Product  Introduction (NPI)  and  Engineering Services  for multiple global customers, providing full support throughout the entire life-cycle of their products.

Detailed Description

Looking to take your first steps in the world of supply chain and procurement? We are seeking a proactive, organized, and eager-to-learn individual to join our team as a Purchasing Intern.
No prior experience is required for this position. You will work under the direct supervision of a mentor and our buying team, who will guide you every step of the way. You will learn the inner workings of a real procurement department by assisting with support tasks, database management, and supplier communication.

Key Responsibilities (What you will learn and support us with)

  • Purchasing Support: Assist in reviewing and processing requisitions for low-cost material purchases.
  • Market Analysis: Collaborate on analyzing requirements regarding cost, quality, and delivery for assigned purchases.
  • Internal Communication: Connect with requisitioning departments to provide order updates and coordinate delivery timelines.
  • Supplier Coordination: Assist in gathering bid information, pricing, and availability from suppliers.
  • Data Management: Enter and update information in business system applications (ERP) and spreadsheets (Excel), ensuring high data accuracy.
  • Document Management: Help prepare documentation for Return to Vendor Requests (RTVR) due to quality issues or excess inventory.
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate on reviewing invoices to resolve discrepancies and support production planners with material shortages.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

No prior experience required. We highly value a positive attitude and a strong motivation to learn.
Education
Current student in their final years or recent graduate in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, or an equivalent degree.
Soft Skills
Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication.Environment and Working Conditions
