As our CDT Finance Analyst, you will drive the planning process for responsible customers, shape annual negotiation strategies, and spearhead complex pricing initiatives. We are seeking a proactive, strategic thinker who excels at solving complex business problems, anticipating customer needs, and understanding the overarching, cross-functional impact of financial decisions. You will be expected to independently uncover financial risks and opportunities, implement robust resolutions, and implement scalable processes that elevate enterprise-wide simplification and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering

  • Shape business strategy by delivering predictive, highly relevant commercial insights and translating complex data into actionable executive-level recommendations
  • Act as a primary strategic partner in the executive decision-making process through the expert provision of risk-adjusted financial modeling and analysis
  • Cultivate and lead high-level Finance-to-Finance relationships with key trade partners and large customers
  • Anticipate market shifts by demonstrating a deep understanding of internal commitments and the external macroeconomic environment, identifying strategic gaps, and architecting sustainable, long-term solutions

Commercial Finance & Pricing Strategy 

  • Drive Commercial Finance operations: Lead the collection and rigorous challenging of Net Sales estimates and assumptions, provide strategic Gross-to-Net (customer investment) guidance, and oversee complex P&L calculations
  • Steer the Annual Negotiation process by developing simulation scenarios, proactively proposing profitable alternatives, and guiding commercial teams
  • Embed a “Return On Investment” culture: Lead the initiative to spend budgeted commercial investments smarter across the organization.
  • Champion Selling Price Increase initiatives: Rigorously challenge existing pricing structures to drive sustainable profitability growth and play a leading role in Europricing taskforces

Reporting, Compliance & Analytics 

  • Design and deliver high-impact, action-oriented financial dashboards and reporting to Customer Development Teams to influence and drive commercial decisions.
  • Oversee AR and DSO strategies: Monitor accounts receivable monthly aging and DSO reports for the entire company. Partner strategically with Colgate Business Services Center in Warsaw and Customer Development team to optimize collection activities.
  • Drive the resolution strategy for complex customer payments and deduction escalations.
  • Lead Annual Budget and Estimate cycles, taking ownership of volume forecasting, product mix, Pricing, Gross-to-Net, and Net Sales calculations.
  • Champion Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, ensuring robust internal controls, particularly relating to Sales recognition and Gross-to-Net investments.
  • Deliver advanced analytics to support high-level business reviews and executive exhibits.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5 to 8+ years of progressive financial experience, preferably within a large Multi-national Company.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) market dynamics and trade partner ecosystems.
  • Languages: Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).
  • Communication: Executive-level communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Leadership & Autonomy: Highly independent and responsible; proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment, promote teamwork, and mentor junior or support staff.
  • Problem Solving: Strategic thinker who is highly analytical, results-oriented, and driven to take initiative.
  • Technical Proficiency: * Expert-level understanding of SAP-related applications and advanced BI tools.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills using Google Tools (Sheets & Slides) and Microsoft Excel.
