Job Overview

TE Connectivity's CNC Machinists prepare detailed numerical control programs for use in production on numerical controlled machinery; they run the EDM, including programming, setup and operation. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

About the role:

Set up and operate CNC sliding head lathes, including installation and adjustment of collets, tooling, spindle liners, and bar feeders.
Making necessary adjustments to programs where required.
Ensure components meet specifications in accordance with engineering drawings and quality procedures.
Record daily operations and contribute to operational equipment effectiveness (OEE) tracking.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean tools and methods from the TEOA site plan.
Maintain and improve time standards and ensure daily maintenance is completed.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Support ad-hoc tasks and reasonable requests from the business within Production or related areas.

What your background should look like:

Minimum of 2 years of experience setting and operating.
Proven experience with CNC sliding head lathes (Star, Citizen, etc).
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Proficient in using a range of measurement equipment.
Ensure compliance with all TE policies and procedures, including EHS and safety-first practices, while delivering exceptional ECE.
Promote and embody company values and key behaviours in all actions.
Demonstrate the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure exemplary work standards with minimal defects.
Organized and self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision.
Show initiative, flexibility, and a willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally.
Fully flexible with tasks and able to multi-skill effectively.
