Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Lead a High-Performing Finance Organization

• Lead and develop a finance organization of approximately 200 professionals across Costa Rica and Brazil.
• Create a strong One-Team culture across locations, languages and cultures.
• Coach and develop leaders, experts and future talent while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
• Ensure excellent employee engagement and talent retention.

Build Strategic Partnerships Across the Americas

• Establish trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including CFO organizations and leadership teams across the United States, Brazil, North Latin America and Cono Sur.
• Act as a strategic partner to the business and ensure high customer satisfaction across all supported countries and clusters.
• Represent GBS Finance in key governance and leadership forums.

Drive Service Excellence and Transformation

• Ensure reliable, efficient and high-quality delivery of Accounting, Tax and Controlling services throughout the Americas region.
• Continuously improve processes, service delivery models and operating effectiveness to achieve sustainable productivity gains.
• Leverage automation, analytics and digital technologies to further enhance efficiency, quality and customer experience.
• Identify opportunities to expand the service portfolio and create additional value for Bayer organizations across the Americas.

Strengthen the Country Squad Operating Model

• Partner closely with the Home organizations within GBS Finance Costa Rica and Brazil through an integrated Country Squad approach.
• Ensure seamless collaboration between local finance organizations, service delivery teams and capability experts.
• Drive standardization while balancing specific business and country requirements.

Contribute to the Future of GBS Finance

• Shape the strategic direction of GBS Finance as a member of the GBS Finance Leadership Team.
• Actively contribute to the development of our GBS Centers in Costa Rica and Brazil as a member of the local leadership team.
• Support the ongoing evolution of GBS Finance towards a more digital, agile and business-focused organization.

Who You Are

Leadership Experience

• You are an outstanding people leader with a proven ability to lead large and diverse organizations through change and transformation.
• You have demonstrated experience in building, developing and motivating high-performing teams.
• You bring strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders in a complex international environment.
• You combine strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities and a hands-on leadership style.

Functional Expertise

• You have a solid background in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Tax or Shared Services.
• You understand operational finance processes as well as business and customer needs.
• You have experience driving operational excellence, process standardization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience in global business services, shared services or multinational organizations is highly desirable.

Personal Capabilities

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with employees and executives alike.
• High degree of assertiveness, resilience and decision-making capability.
• Strong intercultural awareness and the ability to lead teams across countries and cultures.
• Passion for people development and organizational growth.

Languages

• Fluent Spanish and English are mandatory.
• Portuguese language skills are a strong advantage.
