We're looking for motivated, reliable, and curious individuals to join our 4-year Auto Electrical Apprenticeship Program. This is your opportunity to earn while you learn, develop highly sought-after technical skills, and build a rewarding career with a global leader in mining.

 

What You'll Be Doing

 

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll receive industry-leading training, combining practical on-the-job experience with formal classroom learning to help you achieve your nationally recognised trade qualification.

 

You'll develop valuable skills in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components across a world-class fleet of Heavy Mobile Equipment, including:

 

  • 793F Autonomous Haul Trucks
  • D11 Track Dozers
  • 854 Wheel Dozers
  • 994 and 995 Wheel Loaders
  • 16H, 24H and 24M Graders
  • Caterpillar 7495 Rope Shovels
  • Caterpillar 6090 and 6040 Hydraulic Excavators

 

Working alongside experienced mentors, you'll gain exposure to the latest technology in automation, electrical systems, and mining equipment while building skills that will set you up for a successful long-term career.

 

The apprenticeship program will commence in February 2027, with varied rosters across the 4 years.

 

About You

 

To be eligible for the program, you will:

 

  • Hold a current C Class Driver's Licence (provisional licences accepted)
  • Ideally have completed a pre-apprenticeship
  • Have a genuine interest in machinery, electronics, and emerging technologies
  • Enjoy problem-solving and thinking logically
  • Be adaptable and excited by advances in technology
  • Be committed to completing a four-year apprenticeship
