Your Impact
- Facilitate comprehensive training for new hires, existing employees, and contractors on technical and operational mining aspects, while providing constructive feedback to trainees and team members to enhance performance and progress.
As Part of Our Team, You Will:
- Deliver training sessions for new hires, existing employees, and contractors on various technical and operational aspects of mining.
- Provide feedback to trainees and team members regarding their performance and progress in a friendly manner.
- Work closely with trainees and team members on their progress.
- Work with other internal departments to ensure accurate information on training delivery.
- Maintain technical documentation and keep to date with technical trends.
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions.
- Assess the success of training programs.
- Assist with development of trainings programs.
- Provide technical support where needed.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal functions and escalate any issues.
Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist:
Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
- Bachelors’ Degree in Health and Safety or Education and Training or Engineering, or related field.
Additional Knowledge
- Workplace Trainer and Assessor certificate.
- Mincom certified – Inspecting or Sectional Engineering certificate of competency.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a mining or related environment.
Technical Skills
- Advance level technical training and mining operations skills.
- Advance proficiency in training methodologies and mining operations.
- Familiarity with performance evaluations, including the ability to carry out specific activities using appropriate tools and processes to achieve defined business outcomes.
Problem Solving Ability
- Complete concrete procedural tasks.
- Follow procedural steps to complete work.
- Use practical judgment to overcome problems, or requests assistance.
- See alternatives based on trial & error.
- Improve working methods using day-to-day experiences, procedures, observations of patterns of events, and trial and error.
