• Getting feedback from reliever.

• Asking shift foreman/supervisor about the planning for the shift charge mix, furnace gunning time, electrode change/other jobs etc.
• To assist shift Foreman.

Prime responsibilities during shift:

a)

Gunning machine hopper should be full during shift.

d)

Sampler & Temp. Tips should be placed near manipulator.

e)

Electrode spare column should be ready in shift.

f)

Electrode changes have been taken up

g)

Housekeeping to be done in control room once in a shift.

h)

EAF peripheral area to be clean in opportunity time.

I)

Inform shift supervisor before leaving the control room.

J)

Housekeeping is well condition

• Inform shift foreman/supervisor if any abnormality during shift.
• No authority given.
• Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
