INTRODUCTION:

This Specialised Diagnostic Level position in the Mining and Construction/OEM Industry executes Parts Ordering, Sales, Returns, Obsolescence and Stock Counts roles for the Parts Division for Komatsu Southern Africa.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • 2 – 3 years Diploma.
  • Valid driver's licence.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 -4 years’ experience of which 1 year supervisory experience, experience working with parts is an advantage.

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • MS Excel (Intermediate), SAP Ordering.

 

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Diagnostic Ability, Public Speaking, Discretion, Coaching, Networking, Customer Orientation, Selling, Providing Feedback, Standards Adherence, Reporting, Contract Compliance.

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

  • Executes parts sales
  • Provides advice to customer
  • Reports customer issues/problems
  • Executes the parts ordering process
  • Administrates the introduction of new parts into system
  • Follows up on emergency and back orders
  • Generates Parts Inventory Availability Reports
  • Generates backorder report
  • Executes Parts Returns from customer
  • Prints credit note reports for review by management
  • Plans stock counts in conjunction with management
  • Executes and participates in stock counts
  • Prints stock reports on variances, write-offs/write-ups for review by management
  • Executes general office administration.
