  • Lead the identification and analysis of changes to procedures, processes and/or systems resulting from regulatory change, including elaborating settlement policy as mathematical formula.
  • Provide direction to projects during feasibility and support project resources during implementation by providing expert understanding of the ESM and GSI rules, mechanics of electricity and gas systems, and a technical understanding of AEMOs systems and processes.
  • Coach and supporting team members to develop expert technical advice and business acumen on complex cross functional technical, operational, regulatory or policy issues affecting AEMOs functions.

What you will bring to the role

  • Experienced energy sector professional with a comprehensive understanding of the WA energy markets and power systems and demonstrated experience in project delivery of IT systems and process.
  • Significant experience in a commercial or regulatory environment, ideally but not limited to experience in the Energy sector, and experience interpreting and operating in compliance with technical documents and/or legal instruments, such as rules and regulations.
  • Proven qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, with the ability to deal with a range of complex issues concurrently, propose technically resourceful, evidenced based solutions to issues and execute solutions in a constructive and timely manner.
  • Proficient expertise with developing mathematical equations and notations using markup languages, like LaTeX.
  • Experience related to metering, prudentials and settlements in the WEM is highly desirable

In return some of our benefits to you
