Job Purpose:

Responsible for acting as the primary financial interface between Shared Services Finance and SOPC, LOCs, and Federations. The role provides end-to-end financial support, guidance, and advisory services to ensure sound financial management, compliance with financial bylaws and policies, informed decision-making, and effective use of financial systems and reporting tools.

 

Job Specific Accountabilities:

 

Financial Advisory & Service Delivery

  • Provide end-to-end financial support and guidance to SOPC, LOCs, and Federations across budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial control processes.
  • Ensure finance services are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with agreed service levels and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement of finance services based on user feedback, operational needs, and regulatory requirements.

 

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned SOPC entities, LOCs, and Federations for all finance-related matters.
  • Liaise between Finance Shared Services delivery teams and stakeholders to coordinate financial advice, resolve issues, and manage escalations.
  • Build trusted partnerships with stakeholders by providing clear, practical, and value-adding financial guidance.

 

Financial Governance & Compliance

  • Provide advice on applicable financial bylaws, regulations, and internal policies to ensure compliance, transparency, and accountability.
  • Support stakeholders in adhering to approved financial frameworks, controls, and documentation requirements.
  • Assist in identifying financial risks, gaps, and non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective actions where required.

 

Budgeting, Reporting & Financial Analysis

  • Translate business needs and operational requirements of SOPC, LOCs, and Federations into budgets, financial models, and reporting structures.
  • Support the development, review, and consolidation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform financial and business analysis to assess the financial impact of projects, programs, and initiatives, and provide recommendations to support decision-making.

 

Financial Guidelines & Documentation

  • Support the development and standardization of financial guidelines, templates, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely submissions from stakeholders.
  • Guide stakeholders on financial reporting requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Systems, Dashboards & Tools Enablement
  • Support SOPC, LOCs, and Federations in effectively using financial systems, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Act as a bridge between users and finance systems teams to support adoption, data accuracy, and reporting effectiveness.

 

Projects & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Contribute to finance-related projects and initiatives aimed at improving financial processes, controls, and stakeholder experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Shared Services teams to support integrated business initiatives and organizational priorities.

 

Team Contribution & Development

  • Support knowledge sharing, capability building, and continuous improvement within the Finance Shared Services team.
  • Provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior team members as needed.
