What You'll Do:
- Maintain a safe and reliable gas supply through the construction and commissioning of gas distribution infrastructure, while collaborating effectively within a dynamic team.
- Oversee renewal projects to completion by monitoring project schedules and budgets.
- Supervise contractors to ensure gas mains renewal projects are executed safely and efficiently. Scheduled night or weekend works may be required.
- Prepare and conduct briefings on safe work procedures for testing and commissioning of gas distribution mains.
- Liaise with authorities (e.g., EMA), agencies (e.g., LTA, PUB, Telcos), customers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Closely monitor work progress to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory regulations, codes, and guidelines.
- Manage the issuance of work orders, verify completed tasks, and handle completion certificates.
- Perform standby duties, including responding to project issues and/or gas leak incidents after office hours (approximately 2-3 times a month).
- Perform any other duties related to the job.
What You’ll Need:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from recognized Polytechnics in Singapore.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude.
- Able to work independently, as well as in a team and in a challenging environment.
- Good grasp of using Microsoft applications, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
- Possess skills in project planning, execution, and management.
- Possess a valid driving license and having own transport would be advantageous but not mandatory.
