Essential Responsibiities
Reporting to the Manager, Guest and Volunteer Experience, the Weekend Supervisor, Guest Services oversees the weekend Guest Services team and ticketing operations to ensure the highest levels of customer service are consistently delivered. This position serves as a primary point of contact for guests visiting the Bush Museum and requires the highest levels of professionalism, initiative, and discretion.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Collaborating with full-time Guest Services Supervisors to supervise, train, and develop a team of part-time and student Guest Services Representatives.
- Working with Manager and other Guest Services Supervisors to maintain schedule for Guest Services Representatives to ensure appropriate coverage during operating hours.
- Ensuring the ticketing system is operating appropriately, troubleshooting issues as needed, and escalating to the Manager, Guest and Volunteer Experience when necessary.
- Facilitating clear communication between the admissions desk, events staff, and data operations.
- Managing inventory and supporting general operational needs of the Guest Services function.
Guest Services Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors and providing accurate information regarding membership programs, exhibits, and museum operations in person, by phone, and by email, with a particular focus on delivering exceptional customer service, actively promoting membership, and capturing guest email addresses to support the Bush Center's audience engagement goals.
- Collecting admission fees, processing credit card transactions, and distributing admission tickets.
- Maintaining accurate daily accounting of museum visitors, properly categorized by admission type, tour type, and program.
- Efficiently and accurately utilizing sales mechanisms and programs.
- Assisting with guest services and member services email inquiries as needed.
- Completing other duties and tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The qualified candidate will possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years of customer service experience, with at least one year of supervisory experience; retail experience preferred.
- Technical proficiency with point-of-sale systems, computers, and related business software.
- Commitment to the mission, values, and vision of the George W. Bush Presidential Center.
- Ability to regularly work a weekend schedule (Saturdays 8:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. and Sundays 11:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.)
Additionally, the candidate will:
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekdays and evenings as a Guest Services Representative.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in interactions with visitors and staff at all levels.
- Serve as a dependable link between the technical side of ticketing operations and the customer service and people-oriented side of the Guest Services function.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance in the building.
