Purpose
Coordinate, develop, and deliver technical and operational training programs that strengthen workforce competencies, ensure regulatory compliance, and support operational readiness, through effective learning materials, hands‑on sessions, assessments, and collaboration with multiple departments.
Essential Duties
- Coordinate technical and operational training for employees and contractors across different areas of the operation.
- Identify training needs, skills gaps, and competency requirements; update programs and learning materials.
- Organize training schedules with supervisors, department leaders, and external providers.
- Maintain accurate training records, documentation, and competency data.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and mandatory safety training.
- Integrate learnings from incidents, risk assessments, and technical reviews into training content.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
- Facilitate in‑person and virtual training sessions using modern instructional methods and adult learning principles.
- Provide technical support during field activities and reinforce safe work practices.
- Communicate training outcomes, risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
Training & Experience
Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, HR, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial operations, technical training, or corporate learning environments.
- Experience delivering technical or operational training is preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and competency‑based training.
- Experience developing training programs, assessments, and learning materials.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) platforms and digital training tools.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, organization, and continuous improvement.
Other Requirements:
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook); Power BI is an advantage.
- English and Dutch proficiency required; Sranan Tongo and Spanish are advantages.
- Ability to build positive working relationships across teams.
- Attention to detail, persistence, and strong follow‑through.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
