THIS POSITION IS AVAILABLE TO LAO NATIONALS ONLY.
Phu Bia Mining Limited is a Lao-registered company, 90 per cent owned by PanAust, an Australian-headquartered copper and gold mining company, with the Government of Laos owning the remaining 10 per cent. Phu Bia Mining owns and operates two award winning operations – Phu Kham Copper-Gold and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver, both located in Xaisomboun Province, 120km north of Vientiane.

Our modern mine camps provide great Lao, Asian and Western food, sport and recreational facilities and housekeeping services. Site-based employees work a roster of 20 days on, 8 days off; 9 days on, 5 days off; or 14 days on, 7 days off for shift work, while Vientiane – based employees work 5 days per week with 2 days off.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, deliver, and improve Chinese (Mandarin) training programs (Beginner – Intermediate)
- Management and Administration of Mandarin Language program and resources
- Personal development: Chinese (Mandarin) language skills, teaching skills for all levels, and material development skills
- Support the Training department and others as requested.
To be successful in this role, you will be required to:
- Degree qualification in Chinese or relevant majoring from university in China
- An HSK 5 - HSK 6 qualification is preferrable
- 2 years of experience in teaching Chinese and providing training
- Strong Chinese language skills (speaking, writing, reading, listening, and grammar)
- Basic proficiency in both written and spoken English
- Literacy in Microsoft Office suite
