Position Title

Assistant Manager / Dy. Manager – HR Excellence & Plant HR Coordination
(Can be positioned as Deputy Manager after confirmation / based on experience)

Reporting To

Director – HR Operations (with functional guidance from VP – HR Operations)

Purpose of the Role

The role is designed to build strong capability in HR excellence, data-driven HR, and plant HR coordination. The incumbent will support the Deming Prize application from the HR function, act as a central coordination point for Plant HR initiatives, and provide analytical and execution support to the VP and Director – HR Operations. The role offers exposure to senior leadership, multi-plant HR operations, and structured improvement frameworks.


Key Responsibilities

1. Deming Prize Support – HR

  • Support the Deming Prize application from the HR side under guidance of senior HR leadership.
  • Understand Deming Prize / TQM criteria and assist in mapping HR processes, practices, and outcomes.
  • Collect, organize, and validate HR data, documents, and evidences from Plant HR and Corporate HR teams.
  • Assist in preparation of HR narratives, presentations, and documentation for internal reviews, mock assessments, and evaluations.
  • Support gap analysis, action tracking, and closure related to HR processes and Deming readiness.
  • Lead TQC and Kaizen initiatives from HR front for establishing a culture of Continuous improvement and TQM

2. Coordination of Plant HR Initiatives

  • Act as a coordination point for Plant HR initiatives, programs, and reviews.
  • Track progress of ongoing HR initiatives across plants and follow up for timely execution.
  • Support rollout of standardized HR processes, formats, and practices across plants.
  • Assist in consolidation of best practices and learning from different plants.

3. HR Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Compile, analyze, and present HR data related to manpower, productivity, attrition, absenteeism, engagement, discipline, and costs.
  • Support development and maintenance of HR dashboards, MIS, and periodic reports.
  • Prepare review decks and data packs for leadership meetings.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of HR data received from plants.

4. Governance & Review Support

  • Support governance mechanisms such as reviews, trackers, action logs, and follow-ups for Plant HR initiatives.
  • Coordinate HR review meetings, prepare minutes, and track action closures.
  • Liaise with Plant HR teams and HR COEs to ensure alignment and information flow.

5. Learning, Continuous Improvement & Capability Building

  • Develop understanding of HR excellence frameworks, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Support documentation of SOPs, standard work, and HR process manuals.
  • Participate in improvement projects and cross-plant HR initiatives to build capability and exposure.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with comfort in working on data, numbers, and dashboards.
  • Good understanding of core HR processes (IR, Talent, ER, Performance, Manpower Planning).
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage timelines.
  • Structured thinking, attention to detail, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Learning agility and openness to work in a manufacturing / plant HR environment.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA / Post Graduate Degree in HR or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience, exposure to CSR or plant locations will be preferred
  • Exposure to manufacturing, plant HR, quality systems, audits, or excellence frameworks will be an added advantage.
