Your Impact:
- To drive vehicles according to the company’s transport requirements in a safe and prompt manner, so as to transport internal and external stakeholders to various destinations. The role requires adherence to local and company safety standards, company policies, and local traffic laws.
As Part Of Our Team You Will:
Transport Duties
- Perform pick-ups and drop offs of both documents and personnel daily.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and pre-start checks, ensuring all required pre-start checklists are completed for project fleet vehicles.
- Monitor the validity of all vehicle documentation and ensure timely renewal of permits, roadworthiness certificates, insurance, and any other applicable regulatory or operational requirements to maintain compliance and safe operations in line with Newmont standards.
- Travel to various locations outside of the mine sites as and when required.
- Confirm vehicle coordination, arrivals and departures, is carried out in a prompt and safe manner.
Office Operations
- Prepare and submit reports on accidents, vehicle breakdowns, and repairs to the Project leadership.
- Provide feedback to the Specialist People after completion of tasks.
- Adhere strictly to company health, safety, and security policies.
Your Work Environment:
- The position is located at our Ahafo South Site
Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist:
Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
- Senior High School Certificate or equivalent
- Valid Ghanaian Driver’s License (Category C).
Additional Knowledge:
- Good knowledge of road traffic signs and regulations.
- Good knowledge of Ghana’s geographical map.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
Experience:
- Between 3 to 5 years’ driving experience in a multinational organization.
Technical Skills:
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
