3.2   Job Purpose

• Responsible for adhering to the transportation plan and transferring merchandise to the specified areas on time.

3.3   Key Accountabilities (divided based on Balance Scorecard “BSC”)

Financial:

Customer/Quality:

·       Maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure a respectful and peaceful environment.

Internal Business Process:

• Transport Merchandise from distribution centres to branches, Government agencies and departments or other destinations based on the schedule.
• Inspect vehicles at the beginning of each shift and report them immediately to the line manager.
• Report any defects while operating the truck to the line manager.
• Go to the Traffic and Licensing Services Centre and perform maintenance activities periodically.
• Ensure cleanliness of the truck, inside and outside, as well as comply with hygiene, quality, health and safety policies and procedures.
• Check traffic before the trip and choose the least crowded route to avoid delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations followed in the United Arab Emirates and avoid traffic violations.
• Adhere to all internal policies and procedures followed in the Sharjah Co-op.
• Report any accidents or incidents to the line manager immediately.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

• Attend meetings and any courses upon request.
