Job Accountabilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis of companies, industries, and market trends to support identification of investment opportunities and risks.
- Perform sector and thematic research, including analysis of comparable companies, market dynamics, and value drivers to derive actionable insights.
- Build and refine robust financial models from scratch, including valuations, sensitivity analyses, and scenario testing to assess potential returns and risks.
- Prepare investment presentations, reports, and first-draft memos to communicate findings and recommendations to Associates, Managers, and senior stakeholders.
- Support due diligence processes by gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing information on potential investment opportunities.
- Track and maintain portfolio company performance data, legal documents, and updates to identify changes in risk exposure and escalate findings where necessary.
- Assist in preparing deal primers and follow-on investment memoranda, ensuring investment rationales and risks are clearly presented.
- Contribute to portfolio management activities through analysis, monitoring, and collaboration with finance, operations, and legal teams.
- Work closely with Associates and Managers, providing advanced analytical support across all stages of the investment cycle, from sourcing to execution
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or Economics and Finance.
- FMVA certificate is a must
- CFA level 1 and/or Master’s degree in a related field, or any equivalent qualification is preferred
- 3-5 years in Investment banking or private advisory or corporate credit
Skills:
- Proficient in conducting market research and data analysis to derive actionable insights
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizing skills
- Strong analytical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving
- Basic proficiency in building and analyzing financial and business models using commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of accounting and corporate valuation principles, while being data-driven
