Position Title: Lead Stores (Site)
Level: Middle Management
Reporting To: Head Warehouse Operations
Position Purpose
The Lead Stores (Site) is responsible for efficient and cost effective management of domestic supply chain and logistics. The role also entails monitoring of RM, PM & FG stores.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Implement cost effective practices in warehouse and logistics management
- Implement best practices of supply chain management
- Ensure effective management of inventory
- Approve supplier selection through robust qualification processes
- Develop and execute roadmap to improve domestic logistics framework at site
Operational Responsibilities
Inventory and Stores Management
- Define inventory levels of engineering and general items and avoid stock out position
- Minimize Inventory carrying cost by ensuring timely disposal of off-spec RM and PM
- Maximize creditors day by higher credits on inputs and low inventories
- Assist in identifying non-moving items as per norms and propose NPA in consultation with Engineering, Packaging Lab & Quality Control department
- Ensure material reconciliation with sub-contractors as per defined frequency and maintenance of proper records for outsourcing
- Plan RM & PM availability at plant as per production planning & review it
- Ensure effective utilization of available facilities / resources
Logistics Management
- Analyze supplier data and assist in solving complex quality problems
- Handling the entire logistics, payments, deliveries for site
- Provide guidance in domestic logistics management to ensure efficient and effective transportation of products
- Assess value and contribution of existing logistic partnerships and make changes when necessary
- Keep track of recent market developments in domestic logistics management and implement best practices of logistics management
- Ensure optimization of overall logistics troubleshooting cost

Inform & discuss quality related matters with suppliers, QC & internal customer

Facilitate initiatives for training need identification and building requisite skills & competencies through systematic training & skill-upgradation initiatives for the team

Education Qualification
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. - Chemistry; B.Tech/B.E. – Chemical
- PG - MBA/PGDM Graduate (Supply Chain/ Operations)
Work Experience
9 -12 years of experience in Supply Chain, Warehouse Management in Manufacturing Sites
Industry to be Hired from
Any industry - Preferable chemical industry
Functional Competencies
- Stores Management â Inventory Management, Stock Reconciliation, RGP/NRGP creation
- Sound knowledge of FIFO & other systems for effective stores functioning
- Knowledge of Domestic Logistics Management and Procedures
- Knowledge of SAP
