Class 2 Driver – Secure Document Destruction (Christchurch)

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40 Hours Guaranteed

Looking for a stable driving role with variety, purpose, and a great team behind you? TIMG Christchurch is seeking a Security Officer – Class 2 Driver to help us securely collect and transport confidential documents for destruction.

This role suits someone reliable, physically fit, customer‑focused, and keen on a job that’s more than just driving.

What Document Destruction Involves

  • Collecting locked 240L bins of confidential documents from up to 35 client sites daily
  • Keeping everything secure from pickup to drop‑off
  • Delivering material to our facility for industrial‑grade shredding
  • Ensuring complete, compliant destruction for our clients

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving a Class 2 truck around Christchurch and across the Canterbury region

  • Completing 1–2 overnight trips per month to Blenheim

    • Departing Christchurch at 6:30am
    • Returning the next day around 4:00pm
    • Overnight allowance paid + accommodation provided

  • Loading, securing, and transporting confidential document bins

  • Delivering friendly, reliable service to customers

  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and supporting smooth operations

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A full NZ Class 2 licence with 12+ months’ experience
  • Forklift or Reach Truck licence (OSH/F) — bonus, not essential
  • Physically fit to safely handle and move full document destruction bins in a high‑activity role (30+ times per day)
  • Organised, reliable, and confident navigating the region
  • Friendly and customer‑focused
  • Able to pass Police, Medical, and Drug checks
  • Eligible to work full‑time in New Zealand
