About the Role:
The States of Guernsey are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to be part of the Adult Disability Service.
The post holder will be a UK-registered Clinical Psychologist specialising in Learning Disabilities and Autism. They will work in accordance with the standards and codes of conduct set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS), ensuring that appropriate arrangements are in place for clinical supervision and continuing professional development to maintain professional registration.
The post holder will be responsible for providing, planning, and developing a systemic and comprehensive Clinical Psychology service for adults with learning disabilities and autism. This will involve working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
They will deliver a high-quality assessment and intervention service that is well integrated with other professional services. The service will be targeted at adults with learning disabilities who present with a wide range of psychological needs, including individuals whose behaviours may challenge services.
The post holder will also be responsible for providing clinical supervision to allocated staff within the Community Learning Disability Team (CLDAT). In addition, they will facilitate regular group supervision sessions to support teams in developing psychological formulations and offering structured guidance for managing complex cases.
A proportion of the role will be based within the Autism Diagnostic Team. The post holder will also contribute as a member of the Strategic Leadership Team, supporting ongoing service improvement and development. Please click on the link below to view a full job description for this role.

This role comes with a competitive salary, progressive annual leave and entitlement to a pension scheme. We will also consider previous service in a substantive post in the NHS or Local Authority towards entitlement to annual leave, maternity leave and sick pay.
Annual Bonus: Staff who are in post on 31 January will receive a lump sum payment every February.
Relocation: For candidates needing to relocate to the Bailiwick of Guernsey for the post, we offer a relocation package to help with the cost of moving over to the Island. This relocation package offers different solutions depending on an individual’s circumstances.

Employment Permit: This role offers eligible off-Island candidates an 8-year Long Term Employment Permit, subject to UK and Guernsey Immigration Clearance where applicable. This permit enables candidates to bring immediate family members with them who will be permitted to work on the Island in any sector. There are also good schools on Island for those candidates looking to bring their families with them.
