We are looking for a Clinical Supply Compliance Process & Governance Lead who is quality-minded, collaborative, and improvement-driven to join our Clinical Supply Chain team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l'Alleud, Walloon Brabant, Belgium.
About the role:
You will play a key role in ensuring that Clinical Supply Chain processes meet GMP, regulatory, and UCB quality requirements. You will help strengthen compliance across GMP and non-GMP activities, drive governance, and support teams in applying quality standards with clarity and consistency. You will also lead key compliance activities, including risk management, audit and inspection readiness, training, quality systems support, temperature excursion handling, and study close-out management.
Who you will work with:
You will work closely with Clinical Supply Chain teams, Quality teams, Development, and Technical Operations stakeholders. You will collaborate across functions to support compliant processes, share GMP and data integrity best practices, and help teams prepare for audits, inspections, and quality initiatives. You will also manage and mentor a team of GMP Compliance Specialists, Temperature Excursion Coordinators, and Close-Out Coordinators.
What you will do:
- You will promote a strong quality and compliance mindset across Clinical Supply Chain.
- You will lead compliance governance, risk management, and quality system improvement initiatives.
- You will prepare teams for audits and inspections and act as a quality spokesperson.
- You will coach teams on deviations, CAPA, change controls, and root cause analysis.
- You will manage GMP documentation, compliance KPIs, training strategy, and quality reporting.
- You will oversee temperature excursions, clinical trial samples, and study close-out activities.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or quality-related field.
- You bring strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, FDA, EU, and ICH GxP guidelines. 1
- You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident in written and verbal communication.
- You have strong analytical, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and risk assessment skills.
- You can lead discussions, influence stakeholders, and work effectively across functions.
- You are fluent in English and French, with strong change management and leadership skills.
