Description:
The Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University Health Network/Sinai Health System (UHN/SHS) at the University of Toronto is seeking a full-time, permanent Academic Neurologist with a focus on Neuromuscular disorders. The candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher with a preference of the position description of Clinician Investigator at the University of Toronto. For Clinician Investigator, scholarly excellence will be assessed by the presence of research grants, publications in leading journals, invited presentations at significant conferences, awards, accolades, and other related accomplishments. The effective start date is at a mutually agreed upon date after July 1, 2026.
The successful candidate will hold a MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). To be considered for a Clinician Investigator position, specific additional training such as a Master’s degree or equivalent is required. Academic appointment will be within the Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto. Salary range will be in the range of $290,000-295,000 per year, dependent on clinical work.
Research and clinical focus will be on Neuromuscular disorders. Clinical service will be in the Division of Neurology, KBI for on-call, inpatient and ambulatory care. Teaching will be as per Division of Neurology requirements.Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
