TasNetworks is growing as we help deliver Tasmania’s renewable energy future through major network upgrades, new infrastructure and evolving technologies. It’s an exciting time to join a business delivering critical work that will shape the state for years to come.
To support this growth, we’re looking for skilled Mechanical or Electrical Fitters to join our Compliance Officer team.
This is a hands-on, trade-based role where no two days are the same. Working across depots and substations throughout Tasmania, you’ll inspect, test, repair and maintain a wide range of safety equipment, lifting gear, climbing equipment and operational tools used by our field crews every day.
As part of our Works Delivery team, you’ll play an important role in ensuring equipment is compliant, tagged, fit for purpose and ready to support safe work across the network.
Based in either Cambridge or Rocherlea (with some statewide travel required), this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, variety and being part of a capable, supportive team that helps keep our people safe and our network running.
About you
You’re a practical team player who communicates well, takes pride in quality work and puts safety first. You’re adaptable, proactive and enjoy working in a role that supports crews across the network.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Certificate III in ESI – Mechanical or Electrical Fitter
- Tasmanian Practitioner's Licence (or ability to obtain)
- High Risk Work Licences including Dogging, Vehicle Loading Crane or EWP (or willingness to obtain)
- Current driver’s licence, White Card and First Aid (MR licence desirable)
As part of the recruitment process, you’ll complete a police check and medical assessment to ensure the role can be performed safely.
If you’re looking for a hands-on role with variety, great people and meaningful work across Tasmania, we’d love to hear from you.
What's on offer
