Consultant - Tax Technology and Transformation

As our Consultant, you’ll kick start your career as an essential part of our dynamic Tax Technology and Transformation (TTT) team. Here, we take a big-picture approach—combining the latest enterprise and cutting-edge technologies to craft real-world solutions that help our clients thrive. This position is in based in Warrang – Sydney. 

 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Providing a service to some of the world’s largest corporations in response to the impact of existing and emerging technology, including the growing data burden that many businesses face.

  • Empower our clients to thrive in the digital era, keeping ahead of the curve with the latest tax compliance updates and innovative audit approaches.

  • You’ll have the chance to get hands-on with innovative tax technology projects, including:

    • Launching Intelligent Automation solutions that revolutionise how tax functions run day-to-day.
    • Collaborating on large-scale enterprise tax technology rollouts using cutting-edge ERP and EPM platforms like Tagetik, SAP PaPM, Anaplan, Oracle TRCS, and OneStream – projects that are transforming the future of finance.
    • Delivering robust tax governance solutions, often with Microsoft SharePoint, giving you a front-row seat in shaping the digital landscape of compliance.
    • Powering up tax analytics and reporting with advanced enhancements – from implementing and configuring direct and indirect tax systems to turbocharging decision-making with actionable insights.
    • Driving game-changing transformation of tax operating models, helping organisations adapt and thrive in today’s dynamic business environment.
    • Exploring the newest frontier with Tax Generative AI use cases, where you’ll help pioneer the next wave of intelligent tax solutions.

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • A bachelor's degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a Tax and / or Tax Technology role or similar experience in a consulting or corporate environment.
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills, with the capacity to articulate complex technological concepts clearly to clients.
  • Proficiency in ERP, EPM and business systems such as S4HANA, Oracle, D365, WorkDay (or related commercial systems such as invoicing platforms, CRM’s and financial data modules).
  • Proficiency in business analysis, coupled with experience in AI, data analytics tools such as Power BI and Tableau; automation platforms like Alteryx; Microsoft Power Platform; SharePoint; and programming languages including JavaScript, Python, and SQL.
  • Knowledge or experience with respect to cloud data warehouse/lakehouse platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Datalake/Databricks.
  • Possesses a strong aptitude for problem solving paired with an entrepreneurial mindset towards work.
  • Proven track record as a collaborative team member, effectively engaging with diverse colleagues to accomplish common goals.
