Job Summary

St. Louis Catholic Academy is seeking a K–8 Art Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher is responsible for providing art instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide art instruction to students in Kindergarten through Grade 8
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons
  • Introduce students to a variety of art techniques, media, and styles
  • Prepare student work for displays, exhibitions, and school events
  • Assess student learning and maintain required records
  • Maintain a positive and structured learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field
  • Missouri teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school preferred
  • Familiarity with Catholic education preferred
