Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Control Changes Engineer. 

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company.  We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027.  The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices.  If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

What you’ll do:

1. PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

  1. Coordination of the: “System of Engineering Changes (MCO)”. Primary Function is the Management of all the Manufacturing Change Orders (Engineering, Product Deviation, Supplier and Manufacturing Process Changes) that comes to the different business units at SLP campus.
  2. Responsible for developing and updating the Standard Work Documentation for Assembly Line assigned.
  3. Integrate, sustain, and improve the manufacturing system and infrastructure throughout the SLP plant, providing real time information to support business decisions. Liaison between supplier and user to maximize system performance including system accuracy, performance, and uptime. Evaluate upgrades of technology to ensure that the benefits are consistent with the costs.

 

2. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Promotes the company´s vision by actively supporting Eaton´s ethics and values.
  2. Implements, promotes, and maintains a safe work environment, creating a culture of zero accidents, through the prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Defining controls, mitigating and eliminating risks in all business unit - operations.
  3. Manage BOM’s and update ERP routings in the system for Assembly Line assigned.
  4. Review new part drawings and processes for proper utilization in the operation.
  5. Comply with Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS) requirements and Change Management Divisional Procedures.
  6. Support GTM on site with all the Item Classification and Technical Information to accomplish the SAT & TSMX requirements.
  7. Active participation in the reduction of the high-risk priority numbers in manufacturing PFMEA´s.
  8. Lead, participate, and support the continuous improvement process of the SLP campus, implementing cost-savings projects to reduce wastes applying ECIS (MbTT, Value Stream Mapping, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Setup Reduction, 5S, etc.) and Industry 4.0 tools, including corrective actions to make an immediate impact to business results (8D, 3R, A3, etc.).
  9. Support PROLaunch process, participating in aspects related to manufacturing of new released components or assemblies. Review and evaluate with Multidisciplinary Team new products, processes equipment and facility proposal. Participate and support with the follow up in the process of installation, runoff, and startup of transferred and new equipments. Completion process for Runoffs and PPAP´s on time according to established schedule.
  10. Lead multidisciplinary teams in activities related to Operations, Manufacturing & Quality issues or improvements.
  11. Motivate employees to maintain high level of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through affectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channel´s encourage promote desired behaviors and results.

Specialized Knowledge:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechanical Administrator, Industrial Engineer or equivalent.
  2. 3 Years’ experience in Manufacturing or Engineering environment, ideally in the automotive industry.
  3. English language at conversational level required.
  4. Ability to communicate, write, make presentations and lead Cross Functional Team meetings.
  5. Computer literate (Microsoft office, Outlook, ERP Oracle, CAD System (Solid Works, AutoCAD, etc.) E Matrix & Minitab
  6. Enovia 2015X (Drawings and Management of Engineering Changes).
  7. Skills at Interpreting Mechanical, Assembly and Process Drawings.
  8. Lean Manufacturing Techniques and Manufacturing Processes Knowledge & Assembly
  9. PROLaunch. (Introduction of New Part Development, VAVE, new models, products, etc.)
  10. Core Tools Knowledge.
  11. ISO, IATF 16949 & Specific Customer Requirements.
  12. Internal Auditor is a plus.
  13. Six Sigma (Green Belt) is a plus.
  14. CQI-9, CQI-12 & CQI-15 is a plus.

Additional Information:

  1. The MCO Coordinator is responsible for Oracle Routings and BOM´s update/ configuration that impact gross utilization, productivity, and other factors for assembly line assigned.
