We are looking for a Cook II (Shophouse) to join our team!

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Assist in daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
  • Support senior chefs in food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards are strictly adhered to
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the assigned kitchen section
  • Check food quality, freshness, and portion control before service
  • Assist with mise‑en‑place and proper storage of ingredients
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times
  • Minimise food wastage through proper handling and storage practices
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant kitchen experience, preferably in a hotel or restaurant
  • Basic culinary training or certification is an advantage
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and take guidance from senior kitchen staff
  • Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
