POSITION INFO:
This position is in the Nacogdoches Maintenance Department and reports to the 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this position will be the cleaning and maintenance of all rest rooms, break rooms, designated offices, hallways, and employee entrances in the 3 buildings on site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
• Service, clean, and supply rest rooms
• Gather and empty trash
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to the floors and fixtures.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
• Manage and requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Any other assigned duties as specified by supervisor.
EXPERIENCE:
1 Year custodial experience perferd
EDUCATION:
Highschool Deploma perfered
TRAINING AND SKILLS:
• Customer focus
• Teamwork / Collaboration
• Understanding the proper use of cleaning materials and power equipment to efficiently provide a quality cleaning service of assigned areas and proper disposal of waste per environmental and safety standards.
• Strong communication skills
• Exceptional time management skills
• Work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter, detail-oriented
• to complete required paperwork involving checklists, maintain records of supplies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
• A strong focus on working safely and utilizing 6S principles is essential
• Ability to continuously stand or walk.
• Ability to bend, squat, & lift < 35 pounds frequently
• Ability to climb stairs occasionally
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to move rolling product cart > 150 pounds occasionally
• This is a manufacturing environment with minimal climate control. Ability to work in a hot environment.
